Instant purchase with SMS and smart directory lookup

The launch of Vendela Kirsenboms new skin product with Helena Cosmetics in Norway was given a direct sales boost with instant ordering of the product by SMS.

Customers responding to advertising with sms had their phone numbers cross-checked with a postal directory, their postal addresses where then sent back in a text for confirmation and the product shipped to their homes.
As with most sales strategies, barriers for participation need to be lowered to remove any potential resistance to purchase. By looking-up postal addresses customers dont need to enter all their postal information themselves. This is seen as a time saver and results in higher completion of sales actions.

Clear instructions used in marketing across a mix of media provide a very simple purchase action for consumers resulting in above average sales at launch.
